A FOOTPATH will be closed to pedestrians for up to six months.

In a public notice featured in the Pioneer, Conwy County Borough Council (CCBC) has made an order to stop pedestrians from proceeding along the footpath from Sychnant Pass Roadto No 4 Henryd.

The order is in place "for the reason of likelihood of danger to the public".

The notice states: "CCBC has made an order, the effect of which is to prohibit any pedestrian to proceed in that length of public footpath no 50 in the community of Conwy commencing from Sychnant Pass Road and proceeding in a Southerly direction along the Western boundary of a field for approximately 210m where the path meets with footpath, No 4 Henryd.

"The Southern section of the footpath 50 will remain open."

The closure will come into place on February 2.

The notice added: "It is anticipated that the footpath will be closed until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, subject to a maximum period of six months."

Other public notices in the Pioneer include a temporary road closure in Llandudno.

Vehicles will not be allowed to travel through Lloyd Passage Llandudno from the junction with St Mary's Road to the back of 45 Lloyd Street.

This closure will start from February 15 and is expected to last five days.

The notice states: "The order is necessary to facilitate gas works.

"It is anticipated the road will be closed for a maximum period of five days."

The council have also made a prohibition and restriction of waiting order that will impact Trafford Park and Llandudno Road, Penrhyn Bay.
