A RISING pianist and one of the world’s best quartet cellists will duet at Rhyl Music Club.

Chamber pianist Mishka Momen and cellist David Waterman will grace audiences with a free online recital including Mendelssohn and Brahms.

Momen has appeared in recitals at major UK venues such as Barbican Hall and Wigmore Hall and across the world at the Zurich Tonhalle, 92Y in New York’s 92Y and deSingel in Antwerp.

She released her first commercial recording in 2017 and debut solo ‘Variations’ produced by Somm Recordings, and appeared as one of the soloists in Mozart’s Triple Concerto with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra with her work broadcasted on PBS, France Musique and New York’s WQXR.

She will by joined by Waterman, a talented cellist who began researching philosophy at the University of Oxford but in his 20s realised his real passion was music.

He started the Endellion Quartet in 1979, now renowned as one of the finest quartets in the world,, performing at nearly all major festivals including the Proms and featuring in the week-long BBC Radio 3 programme ‘Artists in Focus’.

The Endellion also continues its prestigious Residency at Cambridge University and gives a regular Spring series.

Waterman has also taught at the Royal Northern College of Music, the Royal Academy of Music, the Guildhall, Yehudi Menuhin School

Their recital at Rhyl Music Club will feature the Mendelssohn cello sonata Op 4 and Brahms cello sonata Op 38.
