TRAFFIC calming measures are being considered for roads in Deganwy.

A public notice, featured in this week's Pioneer, says traffic calming measures are being proposed for Marl Lane and Albert Drive.

Proposals include:

  • Albert Drive - one speed table 8.5 metres long situated approximately 10 metres South of its junction with Tan-y-Gaer. Measures will be flat top speed tables taking up the entire width of the carriageway.
  • Tan-y-Gaer - Raised flat top area situated at its junction with Albert Drive for a distance of four metres in a Westerly direction.
  • Albert Drive - speed cushions. Double set of speed cushions located 21 metres North of its junction with Bryn-y-Coed. Double set of speed cushions located 10 metres South of its junction with Bron-y-Gaer. Double set of speed cushions located seven metres North of its junction with Tan-y-Gaer.
  • Marl Lane - double set of speed cushions, located 59 metres East of its junction with Pentywyn Road. Double set of speed cushions located 112 metres East of its junction with Pentywyn Road.

Public Notice: Traffic Calming Measures proposed Deganwy

The notice states: "The Conwy County Borough Council under section 90(A) and (G) of the Highways Act 1980 has been requested to considered traffic calming measures in those lengths of the roads specified.

"A copy of the proposals together with a map showing the lengths of road to which they relate may be examined on the council's website."

Representations to the proposals can be sent to the Traffic Section by March 11.
