A 10-year-old child was taken to hospital after falling from a tree onto rocks.
The incident happened near Rhaeadr Bach, Aber Falls, at about 3.15pm on April 16.
Posting on Facebook, Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Organisation said: "Lack of signal prevented direct communication with the casualty group so their What3Words location to the ambulance service was used. Unfortunately a spelling mistake prevented a real location being established so team members deployed to Aber Falls meeting an informant en-route.
"The adventurous casualty had fallen four-metres from a tree onto rocks at the base of Rhaeadr Bach suffering head and back injuries.
"Team members gave first aid and the Coastguard helicopter, R936, was requested.
"Once in a stretcher the casualty was winched up into the helicopter and taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd.
"We hope our small casualty bounced well and is out and about soon."
