SA BRAIN and Marston's pubs will re-open across Conwy and Denbighshire next week.

The Sun Verge, Rhyl; Ffordd Derwen, Rhyl; Cross Foxes, Prestatyn and Kings Head in Rhuddlan will open on April 26.

In the Conwy county area, the Maelgwyn in Llandudno Junction will open its doors as well as Cross Keys in Glan Conwy and New Inn, Llanrwst.

Also opening to customers is the Boars Head, Ruthin; Hand Inn, Denbigh; The Bull Inn in Llangollen and the Talardy Hotel, The Roe.

A focus has been put on alfresco hospitality and offerings have been adapted.

Ralph Findlay, Marston’s CEO, said: “We are delighted many of our pubs and Brains’ pubs across Wales will reopen and teams can welcome back guests.

"It’s been a challenging time, but we are excited to see friends and family reunite and enjoy going out once again."

Marston’s operates about 1,500 pubs across the UK and more than 200 are in Wales.

Food offers may vary from site to site. To accompany table service, Marston’s has introduced an online ordering system called ‘Marston’s Tap’. The online platform is available across the majority of Marston’s pubs for guests to use and a full rollout is underway following its success last year. Brains’ pubs will also operate an online ordering system for guests to use during their visit.

Bookings are being accepted and guests can reserve a table via each pub’s website. Pubs will also be accepting walk-ins and access to toilets and baby changing facilities will be available.

From, April 26, the Welsh Government have said outdoor hospitality can open.

Relaxations set to go ahead include:

  • Organised outdoor activities permitted for up to 30 people
  • Outdoor wedding receptions permitted for up to 30 people
  • Outdoor visitor attractions can open
