AN ATTEMPTED distraction burglary in Deeside has sparked a police appeal.
North Wales Police's North Flintshire team said the incident occurred on Friday between 9.45am and 10.15am at a property on Killins Lane, Shotton.
Shotton community beat manager and investigating officer, PC Wynne, said: "Can any local residents nearby the area please check their CCTV.
"If anyone saw any suspicious persons around the time frame could they please contact North Wales Police quoting reference Z066726.
"I would like to reassure local residents there will be increased patrols in the locality and this incident is a further reminder to check your home security."
