DIVERS have joined the search effort for missing 18-year-old reported missing from Llandegfan for more than two weeks.

Frantisek Morris, known as Frankie, was last seen walking in Pentir, near Bangor on Sunday, May 2.

The search effort is now being supported by the force’s underwater search unit, which carried out an operation in Afon Cegin river.

The unit tweeted: “The team have been assisting NW Police and searching the Afon Cegin for clues into the disappearance of Frankie Morris.”

Ogwen Mountain Rescue had provided assistance in the search with 25 members searching roads, hedgerows and fields near the location of the bicycle.

Police have appealed for information related to a rave at a disused quarry near Waunfawr on the night of Saturday, May 1.

Detective chief inspector Lee Boycott said: "We are really grateful to the community for the hundreds of phone calls and online reports we have received in response to our previous appeals. As a result we are examining numerous different lines of inquiry.

"I would like to appeal directly to anyone who attended a rave in the disused quarry above Waunfawr on Saturday, May 1, who hasn’t already come forward to do so.

"I understand people may be reluctant due to the fact that the rave was not an organised event, but I would like to reassure you that we are only concerned in piecing together as much information about Frankie’s movements as possible.

"If you attended the rave, and you have any photos or video whatsoever on your mobile, or you have any information however small, that may help us.”

If you have any information related to the search you should call police on 101.
