MORE than 130 new cases of covid-19 have been reported across North Wales, health chiefs have said.
Public Health Wales announced on Wednesday that 223 new cases of the virus have been reported across Wales, and no further deaths.
The organisation has said it identified 'data flow issues' affecting test records authorised from June 5 to 7 and it expected an increase in the number of new positive cases in the days which follow as it processes the 'backlog'.
Of the new cases, 134 were reported in the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board area.
There were:
- 27 in Conwy
- Nine in Flintshire
- Eight in Denbighshire
- Eight in Wrexham
- Seven in Gwynedd
- Three on Anglesey
The total number of suspected covid-19 deaths in lab confirmed cases in the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board area stands at 948.
