A NEW entrance has been constructed at the bowling club in Old Colwyn.

Old Colwyn councillors Cheryl Carlisle and Brian Cossey opened the entrance; the funding for the project was kindly donated by Gwynt y Môr and Sport Wales.

Trefor Roberts, of the bowling club, said: "Gwynt y Môr and Sport Wales have given us grants towards the cost of making this entrance and path possible and a plaque, presented by Swn-y-Mor, is displayed on the gate post.

"This entrance will make it easier for visitors and our members to access the green both when they are walking and using wheelchairs.

"The club has also been offering free introductory training to the people of the local area.

"We thank our grant donors very much. Without them this initiative would not be possible."
