AN AMATEUR production company will bring hit Christmas film Elf to the stage in November.

Getting back to live theatre after lockdown, Llandudno Musical Productions has confirmed the billing of festive favourite ‘Elf the Musical’ at Theatr Colwyn.

Based on the 2003 film, the story tells of a human, Buddy, raised by elves in the North Pole on an exciting journey to discover who he really is. The trip takes him to the city of New York to find his real dad, a workaholic, who doesn’t even know Buddy exists.

Buddy has to navigate the Big Apple and can't help but spread Christmas cheer by singing loud for all to hear and adding a little Sparklejollytwinklejingle to the city.

'Elf the Musical' is the perfect family show to start getting ready for the festive period, and also support the return of live theatre.

Tickets cost £18.20 for adults and £13.70 for children under 16. For more information and to book, visit www.theatrcolwyn.co.uk or call 01492 556 677.

Llandudno Musical Productions, a National Operatic and Dramatic Association (NODA) award-winning company, is also appealing for new members from all walks of life and abilities, with previous experience or first timers.

It performs in theatres, outdoors and at Llandudno Town Hall during the summer months.

Roles include but are not limited to performing, back stage, costumes, make up and set-building.
