Lizzy said: “It has been really popular. It has been good to see the community spirit.
"This was our first festival. Our road did a few Halloween scarecrows to cheer people up during their daily exercise, during lockdown, and it was so popular we decided to do an village event
“We had five categories and we wanted all the children to have a rosette and certificate.
“It has brought the whole village together. Most the scarecrows have been in the gardens, the church one was in the foyer.
“When judging, we looked at how the scarecrows were constructed, how imaginative, and the comedy value - if it made us laugh.
"The whole village were extremely inventive and creative and were very proud in showing them off. It was amazing to see so many happy faces.
"We really felt a buzz in our little village and it felt like we lived an amazing village community."
The women are already thinking ahead to their next scarecrow event.
Lizzy added: "The village are extremely excited about next year and many villagers are planning their next one."
