TWO friends have launched a new estate agency which pledges to offer a "personal touch and support along the way".

Nikki Nieroda-Edwards and Pete Dykes have set up Enfys Estates. The indepedent estate agency is located on Riverside Business Park in Conwy and covers areas along the coast from Penmaenmawr to Prestatyn.

Nikki, 33, and Pete, 34, have both worked for high street and an online agent and felt that customers would benefit from a combination of both rather than one or the other.

Nikki, who is married to Sion and has daughter Ella, aged eight, studied law at Bangor University before finding her passion for estate agency.

Talking about their new venture, Nikki said: "When we first started working together nearly seven years ago we spoke about having our own estate agency but it was such a huge dream, we never imagined we could actually do it.

"It means so much and it still doesn't actually feel real. Although it's been very hard work, we have enjoyed every second - the excitement for it all has taken over."

Nikki and Pete have known each other for seven years. Pete lives in Rhuddlan and is married to Natalie and has a two-year-old daughter called Elissa.

"The time felt right with changes in the market and our experience levels, with both high street agents and online, we both felt more than ready," Nikki explained.

"We had so many ideas we were very keen to put in place."

The use of the word Enfys, which means Rainbow in Welsh, was important to the duo.

The former Ysgol Aberconwy pupil said: "Having been created during lockdown and being inspired by all those wonderful people that have helped us through it, this is a very small tribute to them. It is a way we wanted to help others during these stressful times."

Nikki said she'd been overwhelmed with the response and support of others.

The pair hope Enfys Estates can stand out with their innovative marketing, fresh approach and the right combination of online and personal presence throughout the customers journey.

Nikki added: "We feel so lucky to have been able to do this and have such lovely customers already.

"Over the years, the way in which buyers search for properties has changed dramatically and we have taken this in to consideration, without losing that personal touch and support along the way."

The new venture is keen to support other businesses and charities.

"After such a terrible time for many, and a crazy market place, we want to give the best help and advice that we can to buyers and sellers," Nikki said.

"We market on Rightmove, our own website (where buyers can book viewings online,) and have a rapidly growing database of buyers that we pro-actively keep in touch with.

"We have a Facebook page where we will post sneak previews of properties and run competitions to get everyone involved.

"Our families are super proud and we already have two apprentices - my daughter Ella and Pete's Daughter Elissa who are keen to sell some houses.

"The support and feedback so far has been amazing and we couldn't be more grateful."
