A 37-FOOT sailing vessel suffered a mechanical failure.
The incident happened on Saturday evening just after 7pm. Llandudno's volunteer lifeboat crew were tasked to launch by Holyhead Coastguard.
A spokesperson from RNLI Llandudno Lifeboat said: "We were required to go to the assistance of a 37ft sailing vessel which had suffered mechanical failure and was anchored approx one-mile North of Conwy Morfa.
"Arriving on the scene, Llandudno Lifeboat William F Yates was able to establish that the five persons on-board were all fit and well.
"The coxswain assessed the situation prior to undertaking a tow and made the decision that a tow was necessary and the safest way to assist the casualties.
"After securing a tow-line, the Llandudno Lifeboat proceeded up-channel into the River Conwy to place the yacht on a safe mooring at Conwy Marina."
