Llamau supports young people, women and their children either homeless or facing homelessness.

Llamau Freephone helpline provides information and advocacy and as a Helpline Volunteer you will listen to young people in a non-judgmental and empathetic way, provide confidential, tailored information, signpost/refer to appropriate services.

This is a flexible home-based role.

Volunteers will be asked to participate in a short informal interview, complete an application form, participate in relevant training, provide two references and complete a DBS check.

HOPE is an exciting new project that will support older people (50+) and carers to: engage, participate, gain information and have their voices heard. As a Volunteer Advocate you’ll support people in your local community to have their views, wishes and feelings heard and to achieve their personal aspirations and goals. Within this role you’ll support people with their issues or concerns and ultimately empower them to be able to resolve similar issues themselves in the future. You’ll help people to: engage with others so they feel involved and supported; participate so they don’t feel left out, isolated or disempowered; get the support they need, when they need it, based on what matters to them; say what matters to them in meetings or sit alongside them to give support; look at ways to make them feel safe if they have been or are at risk of being harmed.

Skills needed for this role include ability to listening to people and explain things in clear concise ways, patience and understanding of older people’s situations.

Sanctuary Trust is a registered charity working with homelessness and homeless related poverty.

Sanctuary Trust charity shop based in Pensarn is looking for Retail Volunteers. The duties would include sorting out donations, keeping the shop tidy, dealing with customer enquiries and using the till. They also seeking Van Drivers and Van Drivers’ Mates to deliver and pick up furniture.
