CRUSADERS second rower and Wales international Ben Morris believes the club’s fans can play a key role in their play-off against Keighley Cougars.

After finishing third in the League 1 table, North Wales begin their first play-off campaign since 2015 on Saturday and have been rewarded with a home tie.

Morris, who has featured for Wales in a World Cup, said: “It’s a really good stadium and an excellent move for the club.

“The fans have been getting right behind us and we’ll hopefully be able to get a few more down for the play-offs.”

Since joining Crusaders in the off-season, Morris has been a regular in the line-up during 2021.

He said: “I’m back to where I want to be, enjoying my rugby league.

“Keighley turned us over the other week, but we showed what we can do for 50 minutes.

“We just went away from some of the things that’d been working well for us.

“Finishing third in the table has been a great achievement for the club and the key has been completing high, sticking in there and not falling away.

“Coming into the play-offs on the back of the run we’ve been on is a big boost and, if we stick to what we’ve been doing, we’ve got to be in with a chance."

Tickets for the Qualifying Play-Off are priced at £12 for adults, £10 for concessions and £5 U16s.
