OVER 470 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed in North Wales

Public Health Wales data released on Wednesday (September 15) shows that 476 new cases of the virus have been confirmed in the region in the latest 24-hour period.

A full breakdown of new North Wales cases and infection rates is as follows: 

Anglesey - 40 (Seven-day infection rate of 421.2)

Conwy - 100 (Seven-day infection rate of 512.8)

Denbighshire - 50 (Seven-day infection rate of 519.4)

Flintshire - 125 (Seven-day infection rate of 401.7)

Gwynedd - 67 (Seven-day infection rate of 459.2)

Wrexham - 94 (Seven-day infection rate of 392.8)

As of September 5, 89 people were being treated for Covid-19 in North Wales hospitals - making up roughly 4 per cent of the region's hospital's inpatients.

Across Wales, sadly, a further 10 people who had tested positive for Covid in the last 28 days have died in the latest 24-hour period.

A total of 2.2 million of Wales' 3.1 million population have had both doses of the vaccine.
