EFFORTS are being made to provide better parking arrangements and improve the approach to the I’m A Celebrity castle.

Will Arrowsmith of Manorafon Farm Park, on Llanddulas Road, Abergele, has lodged proposals with Conwy County Council for the “relocation of the existing car park to serve an existing tourist attraction in order to provide better parking arrangements and improve the approach to Gwyrch Castle.”

This is the overspill carpark.

An application form states that construction of the relocated car park can’t proceed until a scheme of tree planting and landscaping within the wider Manorafon Farm Park has been submitted in writing to the local planning authority.

The statement adds: “The scheme shall include details of proposed planning including plans for a wider hedge on the South side of the track along the farm park access off the A547, a wider planting scheme which compensates for the impact of the development and details of existing trees that will be retained across the site."

A cover letter, relating to the discharge of Condition three of planning permission granted on March 18 2021 for the relocation of the overspill carpark, mentions planting species of trees appropriate for a historic parkland setting.

Gwrych Castle is hosting ITV's I'm A Celebrity this November for a second year in a row.
