Over the next few weeks, the company intend to refurbish and re-open with a new manager in place.

Inspector Rob Rands said: "We take our responsibilities towards community safety very seriously, and work closely with the local authority to deal robustly with regards any licensed premises which cause concerns.

"The licensing arrangements for the Market Tavern are under review, in consultation with Anglesey council licensing department and the company involved."

A spokesperson for Isle of Anglesey County Council said: "No formal review has been called. We expect the property to nominate a new designated premises supervisor (DPS) and provide us with a re-opening date.

"There will be an opportunity at that time to have a discussion with the licensee about the conditions."
