CHANGES to a bus service running from Llandudno to Cwm Penmachno have been announced by Conwy County Borough Council.

A number evening journeys made by the number 19 bus, which is operated by Llew Jones Coaches, are set to be discontinued from Sunday, October 3.

The decision has been made, the council said, due to the ongoing nationwide problem of a shortage of drivers.

A statement from Conwy County Borough Council said: “From Sunday, October 3, there will be a new timetable for the Llew Jones 19 Bus Service.

“Due to the current driver shortages, which is affecting operators across Wales and the UK, Llew Jones’ 19 Service will no longer run the 7.40pm and 9.50pm from Betws-y-Coed or the 8.45pm and 10.50pm from Llandudno.

“The final day that Llew Jones will operate these evening journeys will be Saturday, October 2.

“We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.”
