THIS week’s Tying The Knot feature puts a spotlight on a couple who married ‘by chance’ - three weeks before the pandemic started shutting the world down.

Vicky and Kevin Field married on February 14, 2020.

Vicky and Kevin enjoyed a two-day wedding. They were married at Rhyl Town Hall and then had a small, intimate meal with drinks at 1891.

The next day, on February 15, the couple had a religious blessing and full day and night reception at Rhyl Golf Club.

Vicky said: “The weekend of our wedding, there was a huge weather warning for a storm.

“Our photographer [Paul Daniels) was limited to only indoor shots and he did a phenomenal job.

“I can’t recommend him enough.”

Paul is an editorial, portrait and wedding photographer based in Rhyl. Paul has been in the photography industry for nearly 40 years and picked up a camera for the first time when he was 14.

Since that time he has worked in advertising, commercial and industrial photography as well as in the portrait and wedding industry side.

Paul said: “I photographed the wedding of Vicky and Kevin Field in February 2020 just before we were all plunged into an endless cycle of lockdowns and the like!

“I currently specialise in editorial and model portfolio work together with the family portrait and wedding side of things.

“I’m passionate about the work that I create and always bring the same dedication and creativity to every aspect of my work.”

Paul shares a quote by Dorothea Lange on his website: “The camera is an instrument that teaches people how to see without a camera.”
