A HOSPICE will stage a walk in Llandudno for families to create memories and remember loved ones this Christmas.

The evening includes a four-mile circular walk from Craig Y Don to Llandudno and back to raise much needed funds for the adult palliative care charity.

At the halfway point, there will be a festive stop-off at St David’s Hospice where walkers can immerse themselves in the spirit of Christmas with carol singing, marshmallow toasting and a chance to enjoy a warming refreshment whilst browsing seasonal stalls, all located in the grounds on Abbey Road.

St David’s Hospice event co-ordinator Rhian Jacobs said: “We are really excited to introduce this new event this year. The last 18 months have shown that time with family and friends is so important, and this event invites the whole family to come together, remember your loved ones, whilst starting your Christmas celebrations.

“Llandudno is a beautiful town especially at Christmas, on a winter’s evening the christmassy glow of the lights are stunning. We are also hoping that the local businesses, hotels and local residents on the route will show their support and switch their festive lights on too, adding what hopes to be a memorable walk.”

The walk takes place from 6.30pm on Saturday, December 4.

Standard entry tickets are £16 for adults, £12 for under 16s and £45 for a family (2 adults & 2 children) raising sponsorship is optional.

This is an easy circular walk and every step you take will be special because you’ll be remembering the people you love, and supporting your local hospice.

As part of the entry fee, each walker will receive their own Limited Edition bobble hat to keep them warm, and also a Christmas bauble to place on their tree at home as a memento.
