THOUSANDS of people descended on Llandudno to watch a dazzling firework display.

The display was held on Sunday, November 7 at Llandudno North Shore beach. It was labelled 'absolutely fabulous', 'fantastic', 'brilliant' and a 'must see' by many families and individuals.

Cllr Carol Marubbi, chairman of Llandudno Town Council’s Fireworks Sub-Committee, said: "On behalf of the town council, I would like to thank the town council staff, councillors and volunteers, the events and the ERF teams at Conwy County Borough Council and all involved in putting on such a fantastic display.

"Particular thanks go to Adam Williams of Tir Prince and his amazing team for all their support of this event and also Ignite Pyrotechnics who put on such a fabulous show.

"Without all the stakeholders working together, this event would not have been able to take place.

"We are delighted to have been able to put on this popular Fireworks Spectacular enjoyed by local residents and visitors from far and wide”.

Llandudno Town Council has organised the display since its inception back in 1976.

Last year the annual spectacular was cancelled due to Covid-19; the pandemic brought with it many "insurmountable logistical and financial problems" and as a result, the council took the decision to cancel the display.

The Bay of Colwyn Town Council, with support from Colwyn Bay Fire Station and Conwy County Borough Council, held its bonfire and fireworks event in Eirias Park on Friday, November 5.
