A SCHOOL cook has served up her final meal.

Sue Graham served up her final school dinner at St Joseph's Catholic Primary School, Colwyn Bay, after 23 years.

She is retiring after cooking more than 300,000 lunches at the school.

Annie Chan, who has been the school for 10 years, has also left the kitchen.

Mrs Graham said: “I was sad serving up my last dinner. I will miss the children.

“Eating habits have changed so much over the years.

“Some of the most popular dishes have been the sausage pie (a bestseller), the mac and cheese and I can’t forget chicken fillets.

“I’ve only missed one Christmas Dinner Day in 27 years so it was strange not being there this year.”

James Wilkinson, headteacher, said: "Mrs Graham has kept me well fed for over 20 years and she has always been ready to adapt to changing situations.

"This was best demonstrated throughout Covid where children continued to be fed every day without any stress or struggle.

"She will be greatly missed."

Grace, a pupil in year six, said: "I really miss the cook and wish she would come back.

"I love her pizza and meatballs."

Pupil at St Joseph's school have been enjoing festive fun.
