THE MP for Aberconwy, Robin Millar, has already received hundreds of submissions to his Railway Users’ Survey, following numerous constituent complaints ranging from overcrowding to too few direct services between Llandudno Junction and London.

Mr Millar launched this survey in December and will shortly be taking its results, along with the issues and concerns that have been raised, to a meeting with Avanti West Coast and Transport for Wales.

He said: “It is clear from my inbox and mailbag that local transport services are an issue of huge importance to people across Aberconwy and that there are significant, and longstanding, concerns about railway services.

“The pandemic has added to these concerns – particularly in relation to overcrowding and the frequency of direct services to London.

“I am grateful that so many residents have taken the time to complete my Railway Users’ Survey.

“Avanti West Coast and Transport for Wales have been made aware of the survey and have asked to discuss the results with me in a meeting at the end of this week.

“This is a terrific opportunity for us to take our concerns and issues directly to the rail operators. Every completed survey is valuable and there is still time to have your say.”
