A WOMAN from Llandudno has been ordered to pay a fine of more than £400 after exceeding a temporary speed restriction on a motorway last summer.

Rachel Atkins, aged 35, of Morfa Road, Penrhyn Bay, was found to be breaking the temporary limit of 50 mph on the M6 between Junctions 32 and 33 in Lancashire on June 21.

Mrs Atkins pleaded guilty to the offence at Preston Magistrates Court on January 11.

She was fined £295, as well as being ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34, and additional costs of £90.

This amounted to a total of £419, for which Mrs Atkins was given until February 8 to pay.

Mrs Atkins also received six penalty points on her driving licence.
