THE COTTAGE LOAF in Llandudno has been named the third cosiest pub in the UK, in a study by Radiance Fireplaces.

The study analysed TripAdvisor reviews for mentions of the word ‘cosy’ to find out which pub locals think is the warmest and most inviting place to have a pint.

Affectionately known as the ‘Loaf’, it was found to be the third cosiest pub in the UK, with 97 mentions of the word on TripAdvisor.

Karl Sullivan of Radiance Fireplaces said: “The pub is supposed to be a place of warmth and welcome and there’s no shortage of such places around the UK.

“This study highlights how much of an integral part pubs play in local communities and it’s really encouraging to see the range of places featuring in the top 10.”

Hole in t’ Wall in Windermere was found to be the cosiest pub in the UK, with 144 mentions on TripAdvisor, while second place belongs to The Old Thatch Tavern in Stratford-upon-Avon, with 106 mentions.
