SERVICES were called to two separate fires started deliberately in North Wales yesterday (January 25).

The first was a skip fire in the Conwy village of Llanddulas, which North Wales Fire and Rescue Service (NWFRS) was called to at roughly 6.10pm.

The service sent one appliance, with a spokesperson adding that it was caused by “deliberate ignition”, with the “joint police/fire arson reduction team informed”.

Shortly before 9.50pm, the service was then called to a small fire in the open in Llanllyfni, Gwynedd.

A NWFRS spokesperson said this was also due to a “deliberate ignition” and “involved timber in a disused portacabin”, with the “joint police/fire arson reduction team informed”.

A stop was eventually called to this incident at approximately 10.20pm.
