A THREE-YEAR-OLD cat has recovered from treatment to a wound, and is now looking for a new home.

Sylvester, a three-year-old black and white cat, came into RSPCA care in July 2021 as a stray, with a burst abscess covering his cheek.

He was soon taken in by Colwyn Bay-based RSPCA Bryn-y-Maen Animal Centre, and received intensive treatment to remedy the situation.

Animal Centre Supervisor, Chris Butler, said: “Sylvester was admitted into our care as a stray and was found to have a rather sore burst abscess.

“He was back and forth to see the vet for some time for treatment for the wound, and we are so proud of him as he has coped with it all so well.

“We are so pleased he has now fully recovered. He has had a bit of a tough time but he is now ready for his happily ever after.”

The Bryn-y-Maen Animal Centre are now appealing for potential adopters to come forward.

Mr Butler added: “He is a one in a million cat and now wants a family who can give him the home he deserves.

“Sadly, he has been overlooked by adopters over the past few months - but we are hoping he will find his perfect match soon.

“Please help us spread the word or get in touch if you’d like to know more about him.”

Sylvester requires a home with no other cats and could live with primary school-aged children and a dog who has lived with cats before.

If you can offer Sylvester the home he is waiting for, please get in touch with the Animal Centre or complete a perfect match form and email it to brynymaen@rspca.org.uk.
