TRIBUTES continue to be paid to Elgan Jones in light of the young goalkeeper's passing earlier this week.
16-year-old Elgan passed away suddenly earlier this week in a shock to football in North Wales, with the promising youngster having trained with his Colwyn Bay FC under-16 team just the night before.
In a post on Twitter, Colwyn Bay’s Academy Director Matt Sampson showed all the different age category teams of the club paying their respects ahead of matches and training.

Elsewhere on Twitter, Mr Jones’ school paid tribute to their former pupil, stating: “Everyone at Ysgol Uwchradd Bodedern would like to extend their heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Elgan Wyn Jones.
“Elgan was a hugely popular pupil amongst staff and school children.
“His passing is a tremendous loss to our school community.”
