PEOPLE in Wales were told this week that it was no longer a legal requirement to self-isolate after a positive Covid test.

But they were also reminded that although the legal requirement has changed, the medical advice to do so has not.

It comes as coronavirus cases across Wales remain at a high level but the number of people needing ICU treatment is "not translating into a rise in numbers", according to health experts.

North Wales Pioneer:

The question we asked.

Public Health Wales said the increase in cases is likely to be linked with increased mixing and the continuing easement of restrictions, and is to be expected as the country moves out of the pandemic.

From Monday, March 28, wearing a face covering in shops, or on buses and trains, stopped being a legal requirement.

Coronavirus testing is also changing in Wales with access to PCR tests for the general public ending this month.

With this in mind, we asked Pioneer readers whether they would still self-isolate if they tested positive for coronavirus.
