FUNDRAISING for Ysgol Tudno in Llandudno has gained support from the public, but remains a way off the target the school have set themselves.

The primary school was vandalised by youths in late March, where 24 windows were smashed and an outside play area was ruined following a repeat of attacks that had occurred for two months.

On March 31, North Wales Police announced they had arrested a youth in connection with the attacks, having also identified the others involved.

For added security, and to increase the likelihood of repeat offenders being identified, the school are raising money for the installation of CCTV cameras.

However, having been quoted between £4,000-7,000 for the works, they have set up a GoFundMe page to raise funds.

So far, the page has raised £1,730 from 67 donations, having set a target of £8,000.

Another fundraiser has also been set up, by which resident Greta Szwarnog has raised almost £600 for the school by walking and biking around the Orme each day for a month.
