Stretch of A55 in Conwy closed due to 'serious' collision involving car and lorry (Image: Newsquest)
A teenager has sadly died in a collision on the A55 in Conwy this morning.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday near Penmaenmawr, and saw the eastbound carriageway closed between Dwygyfylchi at J16A and Conwy (J17).
Police conductes forensic collision investigation work at the scene.
North Wales Police has since confirmed that a 19-year-old died in the incident.
Traffic was diverted via the A5 and A470, re-joining the A55 at J19 Black Cat Roundabout.
