ABERCONWY MS Janet Finch-Saunders held a joint surgery with a representative from a Conwy housing company amid the shortage of social housing in the region.

Mrs Finch-Saunders met Lesley Jones of Conwy Housing Solutions and constituents to discuss the pressing need for more social housing in the county.

After the meeting, the Aberconwy MS commented: “Having corresponded with Lesley on behalf of numerous residents recently, I am delighted to have held this joint surgery in which we could meet with a number of constituents to discuss their housing concerns.

“During this meeting I also had the opportunity to explore issues facing Aberconwy in relation to the lack of available social housing, homelessness and anti-social behaviour and the impact these have on Conwy’s housing list.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank Lesley and her team for their continued hard work to provide a safe and secure home to all that need it.

“This joint surgery was the first of its kind and I am delighted to see that positive action will be taken to address the concerns of the individuals who met with Lesley and myself today.

“I look forward to holding further joint surgeries with Conwy Housing Solution.”
