A not-for-profit organisation based in Wrexham, has thanked a group of colleagues who took on a recent fundraising challenge.

Dynamic, based on Salisbury Road, provide out-of-school activities for children and young people with disabilities.

When Alison Davies-Tipping decided she wanted to raise funds for Dynamic, as a way of thanking them for the support provided to her family, she approached her colleagues for their support. The group ended up taking on the Snowdon Challenge.

Alison said: "When I approached my colleagues - Jason Hughes, Becky Wilkins, Elly Mackay, Matt Thomas and Tom Garner - to climb Snowdon, they were immediately onboard.

"They all knew of Dynamic and the fantastic support we have received as a family and wanted to do their bit to help.

"The challenge itself was tough but made so much easier knowing we had each other to keep us going. We would like to thank every single person who sponsored us, their well-wishes and donations really did spur us on."

The group had an early 4am start and faced some very tricky weather conditions on their climb, with 60mph winds and freezing temperatures. The group raised an incredible £945 completing their challenge.

Marie Gibson, liaison officer at Dynamic, added: "We are incredibly grateful to Alison and her colleagues for taking on this challenge to raise funds for us. We have been involved with Alison and her family for many years, and we were thrilled to hear about the challenge.

"They have raised an incredible amount which will help us to continue supporting local children and young people with disabilities.

"Thank you to everyone involved in the climb and to everyone single person who donated. It really does make an enormous difference.

"If anybody is interested in taking on their own personal challenge, please do get in touch. We would love to hear from you."
