CLWB Tractor Dyffryn Conwy has organised the Welsh National Tractor Road Run on Sunday, June 19, an event in aid of various charities held across Conwy.

It starts at 9.30am from Dinarth Hall camping and caravan site in Rhos-on-Sea, going towards Llandudno along the promenade and around the Orme, out on West Shore to Llanrhos, across St David’s roundabout to Glanwydden, then on to Mochdre.

The route then goes past Mountain View pub and up to Colwyn Heights, through Bryn-y-Maen along the B5113, turn right down to Eglwysbach.

After going up past Llan Syberi, riders will stop for lunch at Wood Energy Wales, Llanrwst, then travelling back along country lanes left at Holland Arms pub, through Llanelian to the Marine roundabout at Old Colwyn, then down to Colwyn Bay promenade, along to Rhos-on-Sea and back to Dinarth Hall.

A spokesperson for the event said: “Our charities are mostly local - St David’s Hospice, Ty Gobaith, Wales Air Ambulance and Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institute.

“There will be people on route with charity buckets.  We also have a grand draw raffle.

“We've have had to change the route and lunch stop because of roadworks to Conwy Bridge and now keeping east of the River Conwy.

“There will be 100 + tractors taking part, mostly vintage tractors, so a bit slow on the road!

“It is the eighth Welsh National Tractor Road Run, but it’s the first time that it’s been held in North Wales.”
