The Connah's Quay Festival took place at a busy Wepre Park this weekend.

The town-council run event was held at the local beauty spot on Sunday and played host to plenty of residents getting in on the action.

The festival was a free event and had plenty on offer for those in attendance.

There were performances, a dog show, food and drink vendors, plenty of stalls as well as a fun fair.

Kids could have a go on the bumper cars, tea cups or in the sand pits, while parents could enjoy the Gin and Tonic horse box or live music performances.

Prior to the festival taking place, Connah's Quay Town Council chair, councillor Bernie Attridge, said: "I took on the challenge to make it happen the help of our admin assistants in the town council.

"After not having a festival due to Covid I believe it was the right decision to press ahead and bring our community together in a fun packed day in the jewel in our crown, Wepre Park."
