A LINE DANCING group held an outdoor performance in Holywell on Saturday.
DJS Line Dancers held the event in Holywell Tower Gardens and battled through an array of weather conditions to raise money for the Line Dance Foundation, a charity that supports people who have line dancing as their profession and are unable to continue due to illness or injury.

The event was supported by Holywell Town Council and was attended by line dancers hailing from as far as Manchester and Oswestry.
Julie Gabriel is the leader of the group and has been putting on such events in Holywell for six years. She has also been teaching line dancing since 2010 and spoke about how not even hail stone could spoil the day.
She said: “We danced through the sun, rain, and even hailstones and we still had a fabulous day. We had a donation bucket to help with the costs, whilst a big thank you must go to Irene Hodkinson and Muriel Club who sold raffle tickets. We raised over £150 for the Line Dance Foundation.”
“For a lot of people there is a stereotype that line dancing is very ‘yee-haw’ and about cowboys, but we wanted to break that stereotype and show that line dancing is nothing like that.”
