A CLASSIC car and motor show held recently has raised over £1,000 - all of which will go back into supporting community groups.

Deeside Round Table raises thousands of pounds for local causes each year.

The charitable organisation has now revealed that it managed to raise £1,146.21 from its Classic Car and Motor Show held at the Gladstone playing fields in Hawarden on June 18.

There were plenty of fancy vehicles on show to keep enthusiasts happy from American muscle cars to Lambretta scooters and ex-army vehicles.

A statement from Deeside Round Table after the event read: "Thanks to the fabulous support shown by our car owners, exhibitors, stall holders and people of Deeside, we are extremely proud to announce we raised a profit of £1,146.21 all of which will be ploughed back into the community to support vulnerable people and worthy causes in the local area.

"Events like this can’t happen without the huge support we receive so thanks again to everyone involved. We’ll be back with another car show next year, bigger and better."

Up next for Deeside Round Table is their Beer and Cider Festival to be held in August.

With an array of craft and cask beers and ciders carefully chosen from a host of breweries and artisan producers across North Wales, guests will be in sampling heaven.
