TRIBUTES have poured in for the reality TV star Jasmine Burkitt, after her fiancé announced she had died.

28-year-old Ms Burkitt, from Conwy, had previously appeared on BBC Three's Small Teen Bigger World more than a decade ago alongside her mother Bev, which made her a popular figure.

On the show, Jasmine wanted to show people that she was just like any teenager despite being born with a rare form of dwarfism, which helped her amass a large international following, before publishing her autobiography in 2013.

She soon fell in love with partner Lewis Burke, with the couple living in a tent in the Bodelwyddan woodland from 2021, being left with “no other options” after failing to secure a suitable council property.

The couple started their own blog, ‘Join our journey’, updating fans on their progress, with dreams to own their own land and live self-sufficiently with pet husky Loki.

In a Facebook post on the blog, her devastated partner Lewis said: “This is the worst thing I've ever had to write. Today, after a life long battle with a very serious mental illness, Jasmine has passed away.

“She is the most incredible human that ever walked this planet, she is the strongest, funniest, most kindest and purely decent person I've ever known. I am truly devastated. She changed my life forever and I'll never be the same.”

Mr Burke also asked fans for privacy, but said that he was planning on arranging an event in her memory, with a time, date and location to be confirmed at a later date.
