Ban and unpaid work for man guilty of four driving offences in Llandudno

A MAN who was found guilty of four driving-related offences while in Llandudno is to serve a ban from the roads and carry out unpaid work.

Richard Pennock, 45, of Stonehill Street, Liverpool, was accused of the following while driving a Ford vehicle on Lloyd Street on November 13, 2021:

• Driving without a licence.

• Driving without third party insurance.

• Driving with 322 micrograms per litre of blood of Benzoylecgonine (BZE, a cocaine breakdown product).

• Driving with 84 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath.

Mr Pennock changed his plea to guilty for all of the above at Llandudno Magistrates’ Court on July 18.

He received a 28-month driving ban, and was ordered to complete 250 hours of unpaid work by July 17, 2023.

The court also ordered him to pay £300 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service, but did not endorse his driving record with penalty points.

Mr Pennock was also accused of a further five driving offences on Lloyd Street on November 13, 2021, namely:

• Driving while unfit through drugs.

• Driving while unfit through drink.

• Aggravated vehicle taking and vehicle damage.

• Aggravated vehicle taking and dangerous driving.

• Failing to stop after a road accident.

These were all dismissed after no evidence was offered.
