A PROFESSIONAL classical guitarist in Colwyn Bay has published a book comprised of sheet music to two pieces he composed himself.
Jonathan Richards, a musician, guitar teacher and composer who has always lived in or near Colwyn Bay, has released “Two Nocturnes For Guitar” via publishers Fedora Music of London.
The first of the two pieces is described as “peaceful and serene”, while the second is “a turbulent and stormy nightscape”.
Jonathan said: “Over the years, some of my musical compositions have appeared in print, but I now have a new publisher – Fedora Music of London.
“They have just done my two nocturnes. A nocturne is a piece of ‘night music’, so the cover of this publication features a painting of Rhos-on-Sea by moonlight.
“This is by Beth Burke, one of the excellent artists who exhibit at the Bay gallery.
“Another of these artists, Dudley Drake, was on the cover of my previous book, also published by Fedora.
“I already have ideas for the next one!”
