A MAN from Llandudno Junction has been banned from the roads and is to complete unpaid work after he was found guilty of drink-driving.

Michael Roberts, 41, of Marl Avenue, was accused of driving an Audi TT vehicle on the A470 Conway Road, Glan Conwy with 77 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath on May 7.

The legal limit is 35 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath.

He changed his plea to guilty at Llandudno Magistrates’ Court on August 1.

Mr Roberts was disqualified from driving for 40 months, and ordered to undertake 70 hours’ unpaid work.

He is also to complete a maximum of 10 days’ rehabilitation activity.

The court also ordered Mr Roberts to pay costs to the Crown Prosecution Service of £160, and a £95 victim surcharge.

He is to pay this total of £255 in monthly instalments of £30 from September 1.
