Station press officer Jonathan Coe said: “This is great news for all of us at Llandudno.

“We are busy preparing for what should be a wonderful day for our visitors.

“It will be a fantastic opportunity to meet the sea-going crew and to get a close-up view of the lifeboats they operate.”

The open day, at the Llandudno Lifeboat Station on Colwyn Road, will last from 11am-4pm on August 14.

The launching and recovering of the lifeboats is due to take place between 2-3pm, subject to operational requirements.
