STUDENTS at Ysgol Dyffryn Conwy in Llanrwst received their A-Level results today, as staff say they are “very proud” of the achievements.

Following a period of two extremely challenging years following the lockdown periods, the results showed continued success in traditional A-level courses and vocational courses and the Skills Challenge Certificate.

100 per cent of pupils managed to pass two or more A-Levels.

Among the pupils with the highest grades were:

  • Caileigh Amber Russell – 1 Dis* + 3A
  • Chris Sabisky – 2 A* + B
  • Olivia Wilding – Dis*, A* + A
  • Daniel Williams 2 A* + 1 A
  • Elan Haf Williams – Dis* / A* + 2 B
  • Elliot Wright – 3 A* + 1 B
  • Awen Glyn Roberts – 3A + 1 B
  • Aron Barlow - Dis*, Dis, A + B
  • Lilly Edwards – 2 Dis* , A + B
  • Zosia Cywinska - 2 A* + 2 A
  • Lucy Doran – 3 Dist* + A*

The school’s pupils will now study at a number of different universities on a range of degree and master's courses, with the University of Wales colleges (Cardiff, Bangor and Aberystwyth) remaining a popular choice along with some of the other Russell group universities such as Cambridge, Durham, York and Edinburgh.

Some pupils will also go to special colleges such as Harper Adams.

Ysgol Dyffryn Conwy headteacher Owain Gethin Davies said: “Today was a day to celebrate - congratulations!

“We are also celebrating the success of our Year 12 pupils on their excellent AS Level / Vocational courses results.

“We are very proud of our pupils' successes.

“We wish all of our pupils well for their future, whether that be college, university, the world of work or an apprenticeship, and in their careers beyond!”
