YSGOL David Hughes students received their A-Level results today, with staff saying they should be “extremely proud” of their achievements.

Students at the Menai Bridge school had faced disruption and challenges with the Covid-19 pandemic, yet shone through to make the next step in their education and working lives.

The school would particularly like to congratulate:

  • Matthew Lee Jones - 2A*, 2A (Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Skills Challenge)
  • Ifan Huw Jones - A*, 2A, 1B (Physical Education, History, Welsh, Skills Challenge)

Headteacher Huw Emyr Williams said: “We are delighted with the excellent results gained by the Ysgol David Hughes cohort of 2022 in their A level and vocational examinations.

“The students should feel exceptionally proud of their incredible achievements and the opportunities these will provide for their next steps.

“No other cohort of students has faced more disruption or challenge prior to taking A level examinations.
