YSGOL Aberconwy staff are “extremely proud” of their Year 13 students, who received their A-Level results today.

The Conwy school’s spokesperson said: “We are extremely proud of all our students and are also delighted to see so many of them securing their places in their chosen universities to study a wide range of exciting courses.

“Erin Hughes has been accepted to the University of Manchester to study French and Chinese.

“Edward Griffiths has secured a place in the University of Cardiff to study International Relations and Politics.

“Isabelle Cutts will be studying International Wildlife Biology which includes placements in places such as South Africa and Mexico at the University of South Wales.

“We would also like to add our congratulations to a number of students on their exceptional performances.

Isaac Dean achieved 4 A* grades and is set to study Biology and German at the University of Manchester and Gabriel Barnett achieved 3 A*s and an A.

“Other outstanding performances were made by Eleanor McNab who achieved 3 A*s and has been accepted to study Physics at the University of Edinburgh.”

Headteacher Ian Gerrard congratulated all students and staff on their results and wished them all the very best for their future, saying: “I’m delighted in the achievements of our students this year and I’m encouraged to see that such a wide and varied selection of courses are being followed by our young people across the UK.

“We wish them well for the future and look forward to hearing of their continued success in the years to come.”
