A MAN from Llandudno Junction is to abstain from consuming alcohol after he was found guilty of assaulting a Colwyn Bay woman whose property he also committed criminal damage to.
Jacob Pook, 24, of Bryn Pydew Road, was accused of committing common assault of Jade Dawson in Old Colwyn on May 5.
On the same date and at the same location, he was also accused of damaging a television and door she owned.
Pook was found guilty of both offences, and on August 15 at Llandudno Magistrates’ Court, was ordered to avoid alcohol for 120 days.

He is also to complete a 35-day programme about building better relationships, and a maximum of 10 days’ rehabilitation activity.
He was also sentenced to 120 hours’ unpaid work, to be completed within a year.
Pook will pay costs to the Crown Prosecution Service of £85, and a £95 victim surcharge.
This total of £180 is to be paid in full by September 12.
