A MAN from Colwyn Bay has received a suspended sentence and a ban from two stores after failing to comply with the requirements of a community order.
James Oakes, 32, whose last known address was on Conwy Road, was accused of being out of contact from July 9 to 19, thus breaching the order issued to him by Manchester Magistrates’ Court on July 8.
Oakes had received the order after being found guilty of four counts of theft between June 17 and July 7.
He pleaded guilty at Manchester Magistrates' Court on August 27.

Oakes was sentenced to eight weeks’ imprisonment, suspended for 12 months.
He is also not to enter any Boots or TK Maxx store for one year, and must complete a maximum of 10 days’ rehabilitation activity.
