A MAN is to serve a ban from the roads and complete unpaid work after pleading guilty to two drug-driving offences in Abergele.
Daryl Holmes, 32, of Shearers Way, Camber, was accused of the following while driving a Vauxhall vehicle at The Kinmel & Kinspa hotel car park on June 3:
- Driving with no less than 2.3 micrograms per litre of blood of Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC - the cannabinoid molecule in marijuana).
- Driving with more than 400 micrograms per litre of blood of Benzoylecgonine (the main metabolite of cocaine).
Holmes pleaded guilty to both at Llandudno Magistrates’ Court on September 12.
He was disqualified from driving for 36 months, and ordered to complete 120 hours’ unpaid work by September 11, 2023.
The court also ordered him to pay £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and a £95 victim surcharge.
This amounted to a total of £180, which he will pay in full by October 10.
