A MAN from Llandudno is to pay in excess of £400 after he was found guilty of dodging a rail fare worth £2.40.

Martin Bellew, 52, of Ewloe Drive, was accused of failing to show an officer his ticket while travelling between Manchester Oxford Road and Piccadilly stations on February 24.

A guilty verdict was returned on September 7 at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court.

Bellew was fined £220, and ordered to pay compensation of £2.40, a victim surcharge of £34, and costs of £150.

This totalled £406.40, which he is to pay by October 5.
